Description

This is the original artwork to the Italian movie poster for the 1981 Disney real-life movie �Dragonslayer�, by the Italian illustrator Bruno Napoli. I first saw this motif as a 5-year old as an add (please look at the additional pictures) in one of my very first comic books (an example of the german �Micky Maus�) and needless to say that it captivated me and my imagination. I only saw the movie many years later, but that image stayed with me�.so I�m more than happy to add this stunning original to my collection�

Napoli was Disney�s primary illustrator for their European movie posters from the late 1960�s to the 1980�s. In many cases he would do several (almost identical) versions of a poster, which were then used in different countries (or at least a European and an Italian version). This artwork was for the Italian �Dragonslayer� movie poster�I�m not sure if the European version has survived so this might be the only surviving artwork of this beautiful motif.

Definitely more detailed and more colorful than the US poster. It looks so good that it would distract from all the credits underneath.
