Like DWJ, Mahfood can be an addiction. His vision is so singular that you're excited to see what it's going to be. I think he was feeling his oats on this one - absolutely spectacular result and definitely the best rain in Seattle.

Jim in person is just wonderful, very generous with his fans and most personable. It's always a pleasure to chat with him, and hit up Cam at Inky Knuckles for a commission.

He had a print up of an Akira commission that he did at the same con a few years prior that was absolutely amazing. Congrats to the commissioner!

Incredible pick up, M L! I have gotten to the point now that when I picture Jimi Hendrix in my mind's eye, I actually see Bill Sienkiewicz's work, and this piece may very start me down that same road for Prince / Mahfood as well. Love the energy and execution here; so distinct, "true", and utterly captivating (just like both artists involved here). Congrats on this definitive, killer piece, M L!

Mahfood rocks and is the nicest dude, like you note. Talked with him at ECCC and he's really been doing some outstanding work. So much depth, in more ways than one, to his pieces. Love his rendition of Prince here! Congrats!
