I'm not sure what happened to this piece or why it's so beat.

Mike did this for me at a small con north of Atlanta in the late 80s / early 90s.

It's marker fading and lends itself to the authenticity of the piece probably done in the early to mid 80's. Keep it out of the sun or harsh lighting or it'll continue to fade away.

Marcus, Thanks for the advice.

Yes, there is quite a lot of fading but the paper is discolored as well. It just doesn't show up very well on the scan.

I've kept this is a portfolio for as long as I've owned it.

Love the use of black in this piece, albeit used sparringly compared to Mike's later approach. Awesome artwork!
