DescriptionI am humbled and thrilled to have been able to add this important Prince Valiant to my collection. It contains one of the most heralded moments from Hal Foster's fabled strip.In grand fashion, after an epic battle where Prince Valiant has done his part and lead his men to a victory at sea, we are proud witnesses to Valiant's just reward. None other than King Arthur himself Knights the young Val in the field of battle, and welcomes him to the storied fellowship as the newest Knight of the Round Table. What a scene! Asolutely stunning! Prince Valiant by Hal Foster, Strip #103 1-27-39. The majestic bottom panel has an image area of 10 x 26 inches! Naturally, if the whereabouts of the lost top panel are ever discovered I would appreciate and reward any information. Social/Sharing |

WOW!!! What a stunning addition to your amazing collection...I have the Sunday just before this one, so I can only imagine how magnificent the line-work must look in person...

That bottom panel is SO SICK!!!!! But really, you can say that about the whole thing. Big congrats on this one! As fine a Foster Prince Valiant example as one could hope for.

I always get excited when Tom Coker adds a piece of art... this sublime piece is not only great, but is an absolute showstopper... truly top top tier, even missng the top tier!! Bravo Tom!

The grandeur of the story and the artistry required to depict this momentous occasion is not lost upon Foster who must have planned for this milestone. Charged with a sense to draw something that would be timeless, Foster brought the full compliment of his considerable talents plus his concentration to bring forth the scene that contains history, myth, and legend. All the noble traits of knighthood are celebrated and presented to show the best of humanity.

That bottom panel is like the Last Supper - such a grand piece! Has everything you'd want in a Prince valiant. Congratulations
