Wonderful memories of indies in the 80's.  The creativity and the imagination could not be contained by the constraints of the establishment.

I'm stunned, Fred!  These pages are amazing!  Enormous congrats at landing such treasures.  Matt would certainly add some technical refinement over the years, but the raw talent and thrilling storytelling is unquestionable and EXPLODES off this spread... even more than Kevin does. :) Phenomenal, Fred!  Congrats!

Hey thanks Jason- I remember buying this page back in '98 from Jim Warde, Matt's art dealer - it cost me one month's rent at the time. I'm still so grateful to have it in my collection. 

Congratulations on a truly epic 2-page spread from the first issue of one my all-time comic series!  When I sold the Hero Discovered pages for Matt I really should have kept more for my collection and this is a prime example of a piece I now regret selling!!  I am glad it has a good home in your magical Matt Wagner collection!

I'd buy that for a dollar!
