Fantastic dogfight page on a rare DC large art page! The planes being flown take on the personalities of the characters shown in Heath's dramatic close ups and faces.

My Grandfather was a co-pilot in B-17's during WW2 and I was able to find his air group and do research on his time in combat. I have about 200 pages of documents on him. There is a diagram with something around 6 planes attacking him all at once and many other diagrams of him being attacked as well by ME 109's and FW's. Many reports of flack and bullet holes in his plain, was in a formation of 5 planes with another plane that crashed and 2 Medals of honor were given, and earned a distinguished flying cross. I have old pictures of him in cockpits, so when I see such great artwork it reminds me of him. Thanks for sharing.
