DescriptionThis is my second page of original comic art and I couldn’t be happier!!! I watched this page for almost a year on a dealers websight before being able to purchase it, checking every other day in disbelief it still hadn’t sold. This page has so much of what I am looking for in original comic art. The obvious first thing is that it is a Frank Miller page from his epic Sin City story line. The fact that I own a published piece of that story is still mind blowing!!! That this story could not be told in full without this page and I am now the caretaker of a piece of this historic book! When I think of desirable pages, another big thing I like is when a page can tell a whole within that one page. In this Sin City page we have our hired assassin in mid snipe when he himself gets sniped. You don’t need to know any of the story line to know exactly what has happened in this page. I love how the bullet hole on the lens of the riffle mirrors the shocked expression in the assassins eye. Another detail I enjoy is the subtlety Miller uses to depict a persons head getting blown off. Miller could have easily made it more gruesome, but choose to use a simple white splatter effect (almost like a halo in an old religious painting). I also find pages with sound effects drawn on the page desirable and I pleased with the “SPUKK” from the gunshot. And also the fact that this page was signed by Miller was a nice bonus too!! I often don’t see most published Miller pages signed. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

You have extraordinary taste --- I wonder how many collectors can boast of published Mignola and Miller pages as their 1st pair of OA acquisitions? Love this memorable page from my fav Sin City story arc, and your description is right on!

He got, got! Miller has a wonderful way to construct these scenes where the simple details in stark black and white provide the story.

Thank you, I feel very privileged to have the few pieces I own! I just hope the new pieces I have an eye on will still be for sale by the time I am in a position to buy. The struggle is real, lol
