Absolute Batman Unmasked

Absolute Batman is my favorite comic currently. The way that Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, Frank Martin as well as the contributing creators like Marcos Martin, Clay Mann, Daniel Warren Johnson and Gabriel Hernandez Walta have built a Batman for today, who speaks to the crime and trials and tribulations of today has been amazing.
This was a piece I commissioned Richardo Lopez Ortiz to create and he understood the assignment and knocked it completely out of the park. Since this version of Batman doesn't have a BatCave, more of a work shop I asked him to include elements of the costume in the background elements like the Bat Insignia Battle Axe, the Stilt/Grabbing tendrils from the cape and of course the Bat Ear Blades.

I love how Ricardo constructed this piece and how his style fits the punk rock aesthetic of this iteration of Batman.
