DescriptionThis is a terrible picture. My lighting is bad. It looks fantastic. Yet, It looks SO much better in person!L to R: Goldmoon, Tika, Kitiara, Laurana. Available as a print at www.Larryelmore.com They say that you should never meet your heroes. In my life, this has held true in almost every circumstance. In a couple of circumstances, it resulted in my selling of that artists work because he was such a douche. Garth Brooks and Larry Elmore are the exception to this rule. Even more amazing than this painting, was his hospitality and kindness. Larry and Betty are some of the nicest people that you will ever encounter. My wife protested, loudly and frequently, about riding with me to pick up this painting. Afterwards, that night, she said “that was a great experience. I am so glad that I went.” I always dreamed of having an Elmore Dragonlance on my wall. These books were some of the first books that developed my love of reading. I heard that getting any of those originals would be next to impossible. So, I somehow managed the next best thing. A Dragonlance commission from Larry! And I couldn’t be happier... Social/Sharing |

Gorgeous! Beautiful lady renditions by the king, Larry Elmore. Takes me back to the covers of the original 3 novels! Big congrats, Allen!

Excellent painting and glad you had a great experience. A great experience is better than great art (to me at least).
Congrats!

I was introduced to Larry Elmore's work years ago when I read the Dragonlance books. At the time I didn't know who the artist was but the visuals were fantastic and left an impression. Only later when getting in Comic OA did I know and I still very much admire what he does. To see such a new piece of work, in a commission no less is thrilling. Congratulations on getting this, and I think the line-up if perfect. Must be something to see in person.
