I saw this pop up somewhere as the ad image for Matt's work being displayed at Abend Gallery. I was immediately in love with it, but assumed it was long gone. When I saw it was available, I was shocked. Then I saw the price and was significantly less shocked. I reached out and made an offer I was more comfortable with not fully expecting them to take it. They came back with another offer that I said no to...and then they accepted my original offer. I was very excited, but also very broke.

Long story made short: this painting is why I am teaching summer school now.

So liquid in the pool of her eyes. Very pretty with plenty of life in this.
