DescriptionMarvel Team-Up was my favorite Spidey series as a kid because, well because it was a team up. When you are a kid, who collects comics..it's fun to learn and discover new heroes.As it turned out, Ron Frenz who drew this cover was THE artist on ASM when I was buying it off the stands. And of course the young me thought C&D were really cool too! So I couldn't have been happier than the day I came across this cover. A short while later, I heard in one of the Felix podcasts GP mention he had seen this cover and passed on it. I couldn't help but feel lucky he did and that it was still there when I arrived the next day. Makes one wonder how many near misses have we had. In both directions that is. Great pick up! Now when I listen to the podcast I can say i know the guy who bought it!! Congrats ! I love how Spidey is jumping right out of the page!!!

Major cover pickup! They fit a lot of art in that half of the cover! Im enjoying the patina on it as well.

Frenz did some great work on this issue! I never realized til now that they cut & pasted the corner box from the different titles. Great pick up.

This is a monumental cover piece, I can't imagine anyone passing this one up, you really lucked out on your timing for this beautiful piece. Huge congrats!

The C&D are hand drawn on the vellum.

I'm not sure Janson is super suited to Frenz and yet that Cloak face is fantastic. BUT if it's on vellum, coundn't it be that those two C&D faces are entirely his?

It's part of the theme of the '83 annuals to have that frame and a solid color background so the image within had to be definitive. So cool that they were able to break the borders multiple times on this one! With the New Mutants on this one, it looks like they got the idea of this design from the cover of their graphic novel debut.

This one is a real gem from a classic ASM artist! Also you get so much more than a mere team-up, with Spider-Man teaming up with the Duo Cloak & Dagger and the entire New Mutants team! 6 Team-Ups for the price of one!!! Plus nostalgia! Triple Threat of OA Collecting! Congrats!

Phenomenal Marvel Team Up cover! Gorgeous work by Ron Frenz with great images of Spider-Man, the New Mutants, plus Cloak and Dagger! Really nicely composed grouping of the individual characters. Fabulous pick-up!
