DescriptionWhere do I even start? I met Matthew Rosenberg at ECCC in 2015 where I picked up his book We Can Never Go Home. I was in a band at the time with a friend who came up in the New York hardcore/punk scene with Matt so he introduced me to him and I have been following his work ever since. I was first introduced to Tyler Boss through their first book together, 4 kids walk into a bank. If you haven’t read it, you should. While chatting with Matt at ECCC in 2018, he mentioned that his next creator owned book would be with Tyler and that it was going to be called “What’s the Furthest Place From Here?” Which happens to be lyrics from one of my favorite songs (Accident Prone) by one of my favorite bands (Jawbreaker). Later that year, a promo issue zero of WTFPFH was released at NYCC. I was able to get a copy a couple months later from Matt and loved what I was seeing, especially this page. I worked at a record store for 3 years while I was in my late teens. This page just perfectly captures the vibe, and on top of that, it features three records from some of the most important bands for me during that time. After literally years of delays and a global pandemic, the book finally saw the light of day at the end of 2021 and I absolutely had to have this page. It perfectly captures my formative years. I’m loving this series and can’t wait for more! Social/Sharing |

Great page! I am a big fan of Tyler Boss' art style and he nails the record store setting. Also love the little nod to The Descendents Milo Goes To College album.

One of my favorites! There was a variant cover to We Can Never Go Home that was a MGTC swipe that read "Matt Goes To Seattle"

I remember that now that you say it. There were variants for Bad Brains and the same Black Flag album on this page as well. Pretty sure I only have the Bad Brains cover and the Boss gas station cover. Honestly adds another layer of greatness to this page.

Beautiful Morgan. I had a similar reaction when reading 4 Kids and that WTFPFH preview issue. I really need to grab a page from this issue, before they're all gone.

A comic book store for records! Probably comes complete with resident snobby employees that laugh at people buying mainstream titles and hold themselves as the arbiters of good taste. We need someone who can name that tune when the customer starts humming a few bars. Da rude "Sandstorm". NEXT. The checkerboard and line patterns are great to show some order admidst the chaos of the record store. What are records?

I love how the checkerboard floor leads your eyes down to the rows of records. Really great page layout! Huge congrats!
