Description

This is the first time (outside of the Mike Zeck Artist's Edition) that the art to Secret Wars #1 has been on display publicly. I wanted people to have the chance to ready the entire story front to back.

What's most notable in looking at Secret Wars art are the number of corrections that were made throughout. They were moving fast and there was certain look that the Jim Shooter and Tom DeFalco wanted for the series so you'll see a lot of art direction throughout all the books.

The art for issue #1 was the strongest in my opinion as the figures got smaller and looser as the series progressed. In issue #1, you still see a lot of Zeck's dramatic shots, but it must have been difficult for any artist to have to draw all the heroes and villains in the Marvel Universe all in one book!

The Secret Wars #10 cover with inks by Terry Austin is also on display. On this cover, you can see all the detail that was omitted from the final colored version of the cover. Compare it to your copy at home!
