DescriptionI'm elated to share with you my Marvel Tales: Avengers End Times #1 cover by modern master Nick Bradshaw. He manged to squeeze 9 of the greatest Avengers on to this 11" x 17" comic art board. This Marvel Tales comic reprints Brian Bendis' renowned Avengers volume 4 storyline End Times from issues #31-34 (Legacy #598-601) in 2012. The Avengers discover Janet Van Dyne is in fact still alive and trapped in the Microverse/ Quantum Realm and set out to rescue her. Several ideas from this storyline were used for the Ant-man and Wasp movie Quantumania. But the lead villian from the comic Lord Gouzar was swappped out for Kang The Conqueror in the movie.Synopsis: The Avengers reunite with one of their own, long believed dead, as we celebrate the legacy of the House of Ideas with MARVEL TALES! This anthology series shines a spotlight on fan-favorite characters, features timeless stories and highlights some of Marvel's most impressive talent from the past eight decades! And, in AVENGERS (2010) #31-34 - the explosive climax of writer Brian Michael Bendis' long and revolutionary run, featuring the artwork of Mike Mayhew, Brandon Peterson, Terry Dodson and a galaxy of stars - a distress call from an unknown ally leads Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and Giant-Man into the Microverse! But who has summoned them? Has the mystery Avenger only succeeded in luring their teammates to their doom at the hands of the lethal Lord Gouzar? And who shall rescue the rescuers? Explodes right out of the microverse! Hank as the largest figure in the back seems right with Janet up front and center.
