Description

DC Comics Rebirth: Suicide Squad #1 variant cover art done for the Rock Shop. The comic was released in 2016 and was limited to 3,000 copies. Cover features Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Deadshot & Katana who were all in the 2016 Suicide Squad movie.

The second story "Never Miss" features the first appearance of Deadshot's daughter Zoe Lawton in Prime continuity. Zoe originally was created by Christos N. Gage and Steven Cummings, first appearing in Deadshot (Volume 2) #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Zoe Lawton first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in this comic Suicide Squad (Volume 5) #1 by Rob Williams and Jim Lee.

Zoe Lawton was also a playable character in the Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League game. For this version she was race swapped and given the name Lawless instead of Liveshot.

Diamond Comic Distributors sales stats for Aug 2015 put Suicide Squad Rebirth issue 1 at number #5 for all comic books sales for the month.
