Description

Venom commission
by Erik Larsen & Bob Mcleod

Full figure, pencil commission by Erik Larsen! This piece was done in the 90's for another collector and sold to me in 2010. Erik is well known for his run on Amazing Spider-man in the 90's, following in the footsteps of Todd McFarlane. Many thanks to Tom Flemming for making this one happen.

After a little research I commissioned the legendary Bob McLeod to ink this piece! Bob did an amazing job tightening up the piece. Many thanks to Bob for taking the time to ink (over blue lines) this Larsen classic!

Thanks Mike! Larsen spidey is hard to come by so I was stoked to say the least when I found this one. I'm very excited to see what Larsen does for you as it is sure to be epic.

Don't know how I missed this! Came out great! Very true to the pencils, creating a scary, striking image. Thanks for sharing!!

Erik's run on Spidey was way too short-lived for my tastes. His version of Venom, captured superbly in this piece of art by Erik and Bob, was the first that I saw as a kid to really push the envelope with respect making him look really other-worldly. That insane tongue and distended lower jaw truly creeped me out as a youngster and sent my imagination running wild. Congrats on another fine addition, George!
