Description

Rich Larson's pencil art for the "Beware the Danger Room" portfolio plate which appeared in the 1981 Marvel Super-Heroes Portfolio set featuring the X-Men.

The piece is created in pencil. Steve Fastner then used a combination of marker and airbrush on a copy of this to create the finished plate.

This shows the X-Men line-up of the immediate post-Dark Phoenix saga era-Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Angel and Kitty Pryde. Kitty is still wearing her initial X-Men in training uniform. And Professor X, Charles Xavier, giving orders from a booth on the upper right side

Okay, this is a classic and fantastic piece! But what I'm even more excited about is to finally find out exactly how Fastner & Larsen split the art chores! Another gem in your already fab collection!
