DescriptionThis Neal Adams sketch depicts Sue using her powers in a novel way to conceal her nakedness as she entices Reed away from his latest science project – there's only one way to get that guy's attention. Neal did several like this based on Reed's perspective from a panel in Fantastic Four Anthesis #1, which he also did the art for. It's my prized possession in my collection, and I'm so glad to have picked it up before Neal passed away. A.K.A. Invisible GirlSocial/Sharing |

Great pick up! Like Neal said when describing this piece, he doesn't do the nudes, so this is a unique piece from him.

When Neal's first issue of FF Antithesis came out in 2020 he asked me at studio how the fans liked the first issue. I told him there was one panel in particular that was getting a lot of attention, the naked Sue panel. I suggested to him to perhaps do a reverse view of that panel with Sue facing the viewer, with her privates still hidden for a commission to sell. He dismissed it at first, saying it was too exploitative, but thought about it and decided to offer a few. Some in pencil and some in ink. Congrats on acquiring one of them!

What a cool story. Thanks for sharing. I adore Sue and am so glad he did this -- no one could do it like him. I haven't seen any inks of this but I am sure they are gorgeous.

Congratulations on getting this! I remember seeing another similar sketch on CAF, but interesting that this one doesn't have the same wind swirls as in the published version.

Thanks! Yeah, it seems like he took this as far as he felt OK about in terms of nudity.
