DescriptionDeadpool crashes the Hellfire Gala! I hadn't really followed Josh Cassara's work before I met him at the Dallas Fan Expo. But I went back and read his issues of X-Force and X Lives of Wolverine. He quickly became my favorite artist to work on Wolverine and the X cast since the Kuberts. I didn't buy anything from him at the show, but we emailed back and forth for a month afterwards. I debated if I could shell out the money for a cover. And I really wanted something with Wolverine in his traditional costume. But with all the room left for titles, I decided I'd be getting larger depictions of the characters with less focus on the background by going with a splash. Could you really ask for a cooler depiction of two classic characters? Deadpool and his swimming attire captures all the humor he is known for. We don't usually see Wolverine in a tuxedo, but with the claws out, even in formal wear, he still looks like the last X-Man you want to mess with. And what more can I say about Josh Cassara? He is fantastic to buy art from. It seems like less and less artists choose to sell their own work. But he is so responsive in communicating by email and totally understanding of the investment it is to own this stuff. So he is very patient and always eager to answer questions so you don't feel stressed about your purchase. If you get the chance to buy something from Josh, do it. You won't be sorry. Congrats Grant! Great page! I picked up my first piece from Josh about 3 years ago, his Powers of X #1 variant cover, and haven't looked back. Great guy. Awesome art.

Thanks Ed! That Decades variant is killer! Definitely jealous of the collectors that noticed his work early and got their hands on as much as they could.

A little Thunderball style for Deadpool to crash the ball. Cassara's figurework and effects on the water surface is amazing!

Loved this issue and Cassara's work on X-Force! I have the page right before this one and I loved turning the comic book page and seeing this full splash when I first read the book. Congrats!
