DescriptionAvailable for TRADE or Make an OFFER !!!Beautiful John Romita Sr. Cover Prelim of Spider-Man ! Signed by John Romita Senior! Art measures 8.5 inches X 11.25 inches! Pencilled and inked by John Romita Sr.! Signed by John Romita Senior ! As per the previous owner, this was a a Romita sr. Spider-Man Prelim submitted to Macchio for a 1997 gatefold cover. I also emailed Mike Burkey about this spider-man cover prelim provenance (since he is the Romita Sr . specialist and most spidey romita sr. art has passed through his hands at some point). Mike Burkey replied via email and I quote his exact words … ‘Yes I had this. May have been for a spec spidey cover around 97’. Social/Sharing |

Thank you Rob. That's what attracted me to this prelim of Romita Sr.... the fact that it was actually detailed and not a stickman-like drawing of spidey that my baby cousin did lol.

Romita Sr. sure knows how to convey Spidey's body language as he is put under strain only Peter Parker's will power can overcome.

Perfectly-said once again Marcus. Romita Sr knows how to captivate his audience and show us all the agony and stress that Spidey is undergoing in his effort to save civilians (in this case a kid).

ASM 33 vibes. Romita prelims are better than many artists finished work. I miss him. The kindest man I ever met at SDCC. It was a different generation of men and women doing the art back then. The stories I would hear. Legend.

Yes, agreed, I love Spidey lifting stuff, amazing spidey issue 33 vibes all the way! You were lucky to have met him Michael, I've heard so many good stories about him and his kind heart!
