DescriptionIn 1984 a campy Sci/fi comedic adventure hit the big screen by the name of The Ice Pirates. It had a great cast and fun script that more than made up for low budget special effects. They had me at kung fu robots. It starred Robert Urich, a favorite of mine from Spencer For Hire. Many other great performances by Oscar and a Golden Globe actress Anjelica Huston, Hellboy Ron Pearlman, Michael D. Roberts, Mary Crosby, Natalie Core, and The Goonies Sloth John Matuszak.4 months turnaround. Rudy let me work with him through the whole process. Thje composition is awesome! It brings back old Hollywood glory with the adventure theme busting out of the borders.

Have yet to see this movie, but it's been beautifully done! I like how the feet at the bottom make it feel like you're kicking back enjoying a fun b movie in your living room. Excellent frame job too!

if you ever get a chance to see the movie, you'll get the whole gag with those feet.

terrific artwork! great film! this was on cable constantly when i was a young one. i dont see a space herpe in there :) how did they get this cast together for such a thing? AWESOME!

i had the space herpe in the mock up at first.... but it was just too creepy.

Wow! I watched this movie multiple times as a young kid. This piece is super impressive! If they ever re-release the film in theaters, this would make a spectacular movie poster.
