DescriptionEarlier in the year at the Lake Como Comic Art Festival, I sought out Gary Frank for a commission. I opted to ask him for a character he's hasn't done (to my knowledge) and a character I rarely ask for: Captain Britain. As you can see, the piece turned out rather marvelously!Social/Sharing |

Great choice of character! Though, it's actually NOT easy to see how good it turned out because the lines are all pixilated. Time to invest in a new scanner. Preferably one that is compatible with your state of the art computer!

Because OF COURSE you're gonna be the one complaining about the picture quality haha

Scans are fine in my opinion, but I always prefer an actual photograph of the art. I love the see the pencil work underlying those beautiful inks

Hey man, when you post a picture that shows every single line is pixilated and you say "As you can see, the piece turned out rather marvelously!", you're just begging for it! 😘

Classy looking piece and love seeing a character I don't see done as often.

The scan's fine. Frank's work isn't all smooth lines as he uses smaller dashed line details. Ruben should invest in a new computer monitor.

Wonderful commission by Gary Frank. Love that you went with the Old School Captain Britain. Always like to see Gary do characters or versions of characters that I haven't seen before. Excellent!

Man, Frank can maximize his lines like few can. He makes any piece look so finished. Congrats!
