Description11 x 15"IT'S NOT THAT BIG A DEAL" Story page 13 Continuing with the Love and Rockets sharing...One of the many great stories in Jaime's epic tale, this was a personal favorite. Maggie brings her crew back to Chester Square to settle old scores and gets herself into some trouble while bonding with her sister, Penny, and others. Love this page for the great expressions and caricatures as Maggie knows how to deal with the local law but then quickly finds herself back in trouble in the by now favorite story and panel device for Jaime, the car drive. We also get a mention of Speedy and the guilt that Esther has felt over the many years over his death. This story is really the close of a major difficult chapter in the life of Maggie/Perla. Just look at how Jaime balances and sets the blacks and whites in each scene. The perfect use of hatching to add only as much detail as is necessary and to bring focus and balance. Legendary comics. Definitely! I went a bit over budget for the one I recently got. The way things are going, not sure how many will remain within the realm of possibility to bid on and even win.

Gorgeous. Love the narrative real estate Jaime is able to cover here with the jumps forward in time, and the comedic 'oomph' he can wring out of the situation by choosing the EXACT right moment to show. As you point out, the black and white balance is perfect (as always with Jaime), but panel 5's "behind the screen" work made me go berzerk. Another sublime page, Jason! Congrats!

Brilliant character acting and timing. The apex of comics. Jaime is almost as good as Herb Trimpe.
