DescriptionLittle Bird's first issue has been the best start to a story that I've seen in a long time. The combination of writing and art on this book has blown me away. Funny how in comic art, the writing and quality collaboration can lift the art to fantastic heights. This page is one of the final sequences of the first book where the reader and the characters are shocked with a blast that seems to take out the title character. The way Ian has laid out this sequence contrasting the silence of Little Bird with the raw emotion of the Axe. Wonderfully illustrated and impactful. Social/Sharing |

Great art and great storytelling! I love the exclamation mark on Little Bird's face in the first panel!

Such a great first issue. It feels like this happening.... and the art not being digital is becoming more and more rare. Saga, Wic Div, Die, Mister Miracle, The Weather Man the list goes on. Ian killed it on basically every page of this book. Thanks for sharing some great pages.

SHOCKING! That was how this page hit me. I'd been reading this amazing story and already cared deeply for the main character and...POW! She was killed. I haven't had a scene hit me like this in a long time. It's a tribute to what Ian Bertram and Darcy Van Poelgeest been able to create in this book. Not too many comic book creators have been as successful as Ian and Darcy in creating characters you love. Congratulations on picking up this dramatic page that just about broke my heart.
