The detail is amazing, but for me, it's the hilarious and absurd word balloon that stamps this one as uniquely Bolland. (Though I never actually bothered to ask: was he the one who actually wrote them??)

congratulations Maichael, I know this cover very well, it has been in my binder for 30 years, I think it is one of the most beautiful Bolland covers ever! the yellowed balloon has always been like this, it's a bit annoying, when it was hung on the wall, I had another baloom printed on white paper and left it resting on it with a (acid free post-it glue) I assure you that it improves considerably. best Maicol
