Description

This is page 2 of the Archie story "Jughead's Cousin" that appeared in Pep Comics #33 (Nov. 1942), by Archie creator Bob Montana. This issue came out the same month as Archie Comics #1. The page contains multiple images of Archie and Jughead, as well as an image of Betty. The back of the page contains a large color drawing of Jughead.

Fabulous how Montana has the free flow of story by layout to have a great center image, panel breaking images, silhouettes and circular panels. All unique!

1942??!!?? Amazingly early Archie comic! Love the early depictions of the main characters. Archie has hardly changed! Fun storyline too! Great pick-up!
