Now THIS is more like it, Jeff! Not only does it present the art as close to the original art as you can get, but it doesn't scare people away in droves! 😃
It's a splendid piece of comic book illustration, combining Perkins' ability to show the humanity inside the creature, with his masterful ability to use copious amounts of india ink to depict lighting. That it comes from what many, including myself, are saying is the best Swamp Thing run since Moore/Bissette and Totleben is just the cherry on top. Enjoy it!

It's like a crowning achievement of his career as Swamp Thing has proven to be the perfect vehicle for Perkins' artistic talent to bring realism to horror, adventure, fantasy, and meaningful storytelling once more to the long tradition of the character. Ram V certainly has fed Perkins with a great tale that lends itself to Perkins' imaginative visual sense and Perkins has responded with some of the best work in all of comics today.
