DescriptionThe Wundagore story arc has long been a favorite of mine. I bought these issues when my family was making a cross country road trip and read them over and over again while in the car. I also love finding a page that evokes the imagery on the cover.Social/Sharing |

A great tale that a lot of Byrne fans feel is the pinnacle of his Avengers run! The cover scene of Wanda in bondage plays out in this page which makes this the high point of the story!

This page is udderly fantastic! (Ok, I'll stop now.) But seriously, I think this was the last great Avengers storyline from my childhood, and the Byrne/Green art combo is so sharp. Big congrats Steve!

This cover made me pick up this book even though I did not read the Avengers that often. Some great panels on this one and I love when John draws Wanda.

Awesome page, in my opinion one of the best of Byrne on the Avengers. The perspective from the panel that matches the cover is amazing, draws you down in to Wanda, but her with her head down makes the scene even more fraught, more evil. That paired with the softness of the final panel close up gives great visual (and emotional) juxtaposition.

I love how this storyline features the Darkhold and how it continued into the MCU with Agents of Shield and then the Multiverse of madness stories. Cool stuff. Great page Steve!
