ghostbusters. i really dig this film. i remember seeing it in the theatre many moons ago (circa 1984). the gray lady scene starts out comedic but ends with a frightening scream. scared me as a child for sure.

tobins spirit guide is an amazingly fun book published in 2016 with incredible artwork by kyle hotz. it contains some expanded universe info regarding several of the ghosts and ghouls that are mentioned in the films.

the gray lady backstory gives the reader a glimpse into her life and how her spirit ended up haunting the new york city public library. its a perfect read if you enjoy the film.

"in 1924, eleanor twitty, the head librarian of the new york public library, vanished. she was last seen at the library itself, the policemen who searched the entire building found no trace of her. a search of her apartment turned up the same results. she was gone.
but in 1925, patrons and other librarians started to notice signs of her presence; her favorite books began to appear regularly on the front desk in the morning, and people who spoke above a whisper would be shushed from the shadows. patrons using the reference section also reported feeling that they were being watched by twitty."

the story goes on to tell of the ghostbusters encounter with the gray lady and her ultimate capture. fun stuff
