Part 3 of "The Power Principle" storyline, titled, Emotion, Ego... and Empty Expectations!"

Continued from the events of the last issue. The Defenders' ship was blasted to bits because of a nearby nuclear explosion. The Defenders scramble to the water's surface. Only to find that it was Presence that made the nuclear blast. Hulk attacks Presence without hesitation, and he himself get blasted by Presence's nuclear energy, as NightHawk and the Sub-Mariner looks on.

70's Marvel Infantino introduced the rough and scratchy style enhanced by the Janson inks that gave a din of street level grit and drama into the artwork.

As usual I agree 100 % with Marcus ' comment . Infantino and Janson produced some fine comics on the mid to late '70s. Great example !

Infantino's run on the Defenders is underrated, and everything Janson touched back then just turned to gold. Nice action on this page. I love the framing of the Presence's face in the third panel, cut off and partly obscured by his hand. It gives a real sense of power and majesty, as though the viewer can't quite take in the whole of this god-like being.
