Description

Very excited to have made my first comic art trade and with no other than one of the Dueling Dealers of Comic Art ,Mike Burkey. This is now my third piece of original comic art that I own.Although I really liked the Maleev large watercolor I traded for this piece, this image just resonated with me more. From the emotion that permeates from this piece and the contrast between decaying human to new born baby drew me towards this image. It is a 14 x 17in Pin Up from the Empire of the Dead series and is possibly published. If anyone would have any information on if this piece is published, it would be greatly appreciated. Maleev puts a bit of his soul into this piece. It shows a glimmer of hope with the child full of hope that must be protected in a bleak horror world of George A. Romero.

Thanks, his style is still recognizable in any medium he chooses. Whether it's his beautiful watercolors, to even a quick con sketch.
