DescriptionFellow CAFers,I've been collecting published OA for > 20yrs and have never done a commission. Then on a Felx livestream, I won a commission from one of my favorite modern artists DWJ. Felix asked, "What do you want?" A question I never had to answer before! My absolute favorite DWJ work is Green Leader followed by Old Man Skywalker and ML has said with DWJ commissions: ALWAYS ASK FOR STAR WARS. Ok, that narrowed it down. Say what you will about the Boba Fett series, but my favorite live action character introduced in that series was Black Krrsantan or Santy for short. I poked around and couldn't find any DWJ/Santy commissions before, so felt like virgin territory. My simple direction to Felix->DWJ was: "Krrsantan going HAM". Then I had to wait....What would DWJ do unleashing a crazy AF Wookie on the page? Well friends, now we know! This commission is 9x6 and packs so much art and creativity into that 54 sq-in it is truly mind blowing (ask one of the Storm Troopers to validate). Friends, if you ever EVER get the chance to get a DWJ commission, jump at it and by the maker, MAKE IT STAR WARS!!! McSpidey (McDWJey for rest of week) Social/Sharing |

Crazy good. DWJ should be doing concept art for a Lucasfilm/Disney Star Wars animated show. Would be epic.

Superb combo of artist and subject. I'm not even that big of a Star Wars fan, but imagine what DWJ could do on a full Krrsantan story or even an 8-pager. I imagine it'd be a lot like this and that's not a bad thing at all.

What's magical, is when he has more space, he ties in a soft emotional element with all the graphic violence. Have you seen his 8 page deadpool story? Here's a link->
