Description

I read this book until it fell apart as a kid!! The X-men battling Freedom Force!! The X-men are in San Francisco and Freedom Force is coming for them! I would have been happy getting any page from this book.. but this one is the perfect one! JRJR Colossus in action vs the Blob and Pyro (who is actually making a Phoenix Fire Bird!!) This is exactly what this hobby is about.

Love the sequence of Colossus busting open the fire hydrant to blast Blob with a hydro-cannon--comic book action at its best!

Man, I loved this issue, too. JRJR's X-Men run was excellent, and this Freedom Force story was awesome. You have phasing, super team battle, great power action, and the Blob getting a bath (finally!). Score! Big nostalgic congrats!

Romita Jr's first run on X-Men was, and still is, one of my favourite in comics. Fantastic example!
