DescriptionThis is a big one… Jim Lee is one of most influential comic artists of all time.. his symmetry with Scott Williams is second to none… and the pinnacle of this artistic union may very well be Uncanny X-men 275.. smack dab in the middle of their X-men run. If you were collecting and reading the X-men titles at this time there is no way you can forget issue 275… the gatefold cover.. the team finally being back together and the yellow uniforms.. and reuniting with professor X after all this time.. well if you remember that you remember the shock that came at the end of the issue in this end page of Professor X appearing to take a heal turn!!! I absolutely love this piece on so many levels , it’s gorgeous, important story wise, nostalgically massive and a down right one page summation of the soap opera Chris Claremont made the X-men back then always keeping you on the edge of your seat! But an underrated thing about this page is how it tied into the next issue cover.. which is essentially this scene but with wolverine over prof x! Could not be happier to own this and proudly hang in my home.Social/Sharing |

That's some top notch hop scotch by Lee and Williams! OMAC/Gladiator/Guardian better watch out when Chuck breaks out his Illuminati robes.

Great page, Jason - helluva capper splash! And from a landmark issue in 275. So clearly Jim and Scott. And I like that connection with the 276 cover. Congrats!

Thank you sir! Question. When you did your Lee research did you note how many full splash pages he did on X-men?

No, that was just an example w/ Wolverine. In theory you could do that breakdown with splashes, team shots, Rogue, etc.

Great splash and great determination on your part. When Jason wants something, Jason makes it happen. Nuff said.
