Description1-2025...One of my favorite Disney movies, if nothing else for that catchy titular song! The movie was Disney's first sequel and the original Saludos Amigos inspired another one of my all time cartoon characters, the Chilean Condorito which I've been lucky enough to collect a few pieces over the years and will be adding a few more soon! From the description... Donald, José, and Panchito take a trip through Mexico, exploring the rolling hills as Panchito sings about his home country. This film was a sequel to Saludos Amigos and was created from inspiration the team gathered on their Goodwill Tour in South America - a trip brought about by the Good Neighbor Policy that called for the United States to improve its relations with Latin America during World War II. This cheerful cel can be found at about 52:25 in the film as the trio return from Mexico, flying through the open book page they've been using to transport themselves from region to region. Donald and José are both full figure and measure about 5.25'' x 3.5'' with wide smiles and are presented on a scene-matching printed background from the film for presentation purposes. These iconic characters are displayed in a 9'' x 8'' mat window and 14'' x 13'' overall mat. Social/Sharing |

Great part of animation history and of Americana with Disney using themes and characters to expand itself throughout the world.
