Description3-2025...A very cool Inspector Gadget animation cel. Sadly I did not get information as to which episode this is from but a great image of Gadget.Inspector Gadget needs to expand his wardrobe! This endearing, hilarious lot features a beautiful 2-layer 10.5'' x 9'' production cel setup of Inspector Gadget as he searches for something new to wear. He grabs another coat in front of his wardrobe full of hats, all of them the same as what he's already wearing. This loveable protagonist was voiced by Don Adams (1923 - 2005) and stole the hearts of viewers with his incompetent policework. The setup is presented on a wonderful hand-painted gouache and color pencil production background rendered with vibrant green and warm brown on 14'' x 10'' background board. Inspector Gadget takes up most of the cel at about 8.75'' x 7'' and is noted as #36, A-63, B-4, and A-1 along the upper edge. The background is marked A63 in the upper right corner. The setup is the perfect way to remember Gadget and all his quirks on the 40th anniversary of the series! Social/Sharing |

So many wonderful memories of this show. Loved the Spectre-ish villain. Gadget language has even entered our family lexicon... when we're sitting at a very long red traffic light, we'll often say "Go! Go! Gadget-Green Light!". Sadly, it doesn't usually work.

Wowsers! Don Adams in this was a brilliant extension of Get Smart and got us watching reruns of that show and later on have more interest in the 60's spy genre.
