A great modern day artist! DWJ is humble enough to know that his passion for storytelling is what drives fans to his work. Being a fan himself of many things like music, comic, wrestling, etc. gives him an understanding of how important they are. This is a great example of where he could have just done the minimum, but wants to make the encounter more memorable and gain a fan for life.

Absolutely. He is probably one of (if not the most) friendly and approachable creators I've met in my lifetime. His murder falcon book brought me back to comics and touched me in a way that almost no other comic ever has. And now I'm just desperately searching for ways to get more of his art. It's hard. I'm ALMOST never fast enough at shows. Never fast enough for online drops. And so much is so outside my price range. But I'll keep trying for as long as it takes!!
