Description

Hand-drawn page 6 artwork penciled & inked by Bernie Wrightson featuring Swamp Thing in his introductory story �Swamp Thing�, from The House of Secrets #92. The page features five panels with Swamp Thing observing his former friend, Damian Ridge, preparing to murder the love of his life, Linda.

In drawing this story, Wrightson used his friends Mike Kaluta, Louise Jones (Simonson), Alan Weiss and himself as models. This page features Jones as Linda and Kaluta as Damian. This is one of only five pages in the first Swamp Thing story that features Swamp Thing himself on the page.

Iconic. That panel with the hair brushing (then used for the cover) would be ranked as one of the most famous panels in comic history. Just stunning.

It's so awesome that you have a page from this storyline. Love the closeup in panel 4. Nobody like Bernie when it comes to creating atmosphere
