Description

Like it says above the ASM logo: "YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT! THE MOST SHOCKING CLIMAX EVER!" This 1979 cover from the story titled: "Nine Lives Has The Black Cat!". This cover showcases 4 scenes from the story:
Scene 1 features Spider-Man saving the Black Cat at the top.
Scene 2 shows Peter Parker getting SLAPPED by Betty Brant.
Scene 3 has Spider-Man trapped under heavy rubble at the bottom (shades of Amazing Spider-Man #33 cover where he's trapped by heavy machines!).
Finally in the 4th scene we see dear old Aunt May at the nursing home to the right, the infamous Burglar who killed Uncle Ben in Amazing Fantasy #15, as well as Mysterio in his civilian identity, all in 1 scene! Just a lot of drawn artwork to look at on this beautiful cover!

The cover was drawn by the VASTLY under appreciated and VERY skilled hands of KEITH POLLARD, and expertly inked by Al Milgrom!

Keith Pollard and Al Milgrom - match made in OA heaven :) Big congrats on this West! One of the books that I flipped through a lot along with Felicia's first appearance in the prior issue. Wow. Keep 'em comin', man!

Nice cover Stephan! Pollard did some of the best Spider-Man covers of the late 70's-early 80's. Congrats!
