DescriptionJose Gonzales: Vampirella #25 p 10 (1973) From the story "What Price Love?" Created in ink and ink wash over graphite on Bristol board 14.2" x 20.2" with an image area of 11" x 15.25" Vampirella runs away just after sucking the blood from a prison guard as another guard tries to shoot at her! Vampirella matured gradually from just an introduction character to stories at Warren to being the main focus of Warren stories! The development of Vampirella had plenty to do with Jose Gonzales' emotional artwork!Social/Sharing |

If Vampi wasn't a star, Gonzalez definitely made her one! The b&w magazine look of tonal work around her is very atmospheric when printed to take full advantage of the format.

Great page from a great tale! Gonzalez Vampi pages are really get rare in the market---the real great ones (like this, that is). Credit must also be given to the great writers whose scripts made the character come alive. Yet, they needed a master drafter to put those words into artwork. Here, nobody beat Gonzalez in the line art department during the Warren days!

i've always adored Jose's interior work over his pin ups and this further proves my enjoyment. every panel is just perfect and the shot of Vampirella in the top left is dead on. congrats

Fantastica pagina de Vampirella, me encanta el arte de Jose Gonzalez y su magia en personajes femeninos tan emblemáticos como esta Vampi de los 70s. Felicidades amigo :)
