DescriptionJoe Mad! and Tim Townsend. My favorite artwork from Age of Apocalypse. This hangs on my wall, archival matted and framed behind UV protected glass. The scan is from the original auction.I was blown away when this appeared on ebay. There seemed to be a standard group of bidders I could look forward to see jump in on pieces I liked back in those days when bidder IDs where shown. It was almost comforting and frightening to see their IDs in bidding history, heh. I was at work when this ended and risked visiting a non-work website. Thankfully, this auction was after I wised up on my bidding ethics sniping my way to win it. Later, I heard one of the others was disconnected before they could snipe, very unfortunate for them and super lucky for me! Social/Sharing |

Beautiful AoA piece with Sabretooth and Nemesis. Rare pick up indeed. Congrats on the Snipe.

What a great pickup! Joe Mad's signature style and flair are on full display. This takes me back to a really fun time reading X-Men books.

Fantastic win, this is one of the best AoA covers, and one of the best Madureira covers. Great artists, I wish he did more work on comics

Already rare being a cover of one of the main AOA short lived titles in addition to being a Joe Mad one. This Sabertooth vs Holocaust cover was a standout in the whole saga!

Nice to see this up on CAF (again?)! Joe Mad draws intense action scenes like no one else, and the bonus here is his AoA character designs (loved his takes on Holocaust and Blink). Congrats!

Immediately recognizable from the little preview image! It was a thrilling time as a Marvel and X-men fan, watching Joe quickly become my favorite X artist!

Fantastic piece! I grew up with this art, and it really is mind blowing when you can own something that you saw every day in magazines and posters when you were younger =)
It'd be great if you would upload a pic of what this looks like framed on your walls.
