DescriptionI had initially discovered Jordan's art back in January of 2021, and I immediately messaged him on Facebook to ask if he had any kind of commission list open. I knew right away that I wanted to get a Lady Death piece from him, but he unfortunately replied that he wasn't taking on any new requests because of his busy schedule. So, I followed him on every social media platform that I had an account with (which isn't many), and just hoped that I could get in line if/when he posted up that he was accepting new clients again. It's been 21 months since that time came and went, and Jordan still hasn't opened his list (that I'm aware of). BUT!! this past October, he just so happened to post a work-in-progress pic of him sketching out a (this) Lady Death piece on his Instagram account - and I immediately loved and wanted it. As soon as I could, I direct messaged him in the hopes that he would be willing to sell it to me before anyone else, and I got super lucky when he said yes =)I'm still hopeful that I can get on his commission list and obtain a full-on-dedicated Lady Death commission one day. But this simpler sketch is a superb piece to own if that never pans out =) 3/17/25: At the end of last year, I made a serious effort to find someone that could digitally color this piece for me so I could have it ready for printing with the possibility of it framed along with the rest of my Lady Death art. And this being my first time trying to find a colorist for any kind of art, I actually found most of the people I tried contacting to be really picky and hard to convince to even look at my art collection at all. So, feeling like there wasn't going to be anyone who would want to work on another artist's art, I decided to look around DevientArt in the hopes of finding an up-and-coming artist who might actually be enthusiastic to work on a published creator's original art piece... But to say the least, even messaging artists there was a lesson in patience =) Luckily, though, I'm came across an artist who already had a great gallery of works under his belt who looked like he could do this OA justice. Nick Hope, aka DevientArt name 'QemisDraws', was a fantastic discovery for me, and once he had the time to email me back, I feel like we just clicked immediately. He immediately came off as being really enthusiastic to talk about art and what all I wanted for this piece. He also talked about what he wanted to try out on his own end for fun, and so e came up with a couple of ideas for creating multiple colors for this piece. What we ultimately ended up with for this was the creation of one other concept image based on this original art in addition to creating two other concept pieces in his own style, and I just had a pleasant overall experience in working with him. The turn around time to have everything completed was very decent, and I'm very happy with what Nick came up with at the end. He even went as far as to check in with me during most of his coloring steps to make sure I was happy with where things were going, and he went the extra distance to contact the online webstore where I get images printed (which was recommended to me by Jordan Gunderson, even) to make sure that he was creating the correct type of file with the right image settings for them to print this out as perfectly as possible =) There are three other images that Nick created for this OA (one more alternate color version of this OA and two more completely new concept pieces), but those are going to be kept private for now as I have an idea to get them all printed and framed up in a specific display that I'm just starting to come up with in my head. Until then, this color version of the original Lady Death art in a kind of "fiery bloodbath from Hell" is exactly what I envisioned when we first started talking, and I'm so happy it came out this great! That is a beautiful Lady Death swimsuit pinup. Love the skulls at the bikini and the splash effect. Jordan is really a nice guy to work with and hopefully I will get my 3rd piece from him in the future.

The fully plump figure is so lovely and different than the typical swimsuit pin ups. It has more natural/supernatural curves showing her birth/death hips.
