Description

This is my first 11x17 commission with Jordan, and it's such a superb depiction of Lady Death that I'm really hoping to get it digitally colored so I can create an art print, get it and the OA framed, and add everything to my already displayed collection of published OA on my walls.

The layout idea came from the same "homage" outline that I've asked other artists to follow with my other commissions. But only this time, I had sent Jordan three different art pieces to choose from, and he chose the image I freeze framed from an anime intro based on the newer Netflix revision of the Bastard!! franchise. My initial hope in giving him the three options was to let Jordan choose something he might have fun drawing rather than him just taking on a ho-hum single idea. And I think (hope) that by him choosing this layout that he had a more interesting time when working on this piece than he otherwise would have had. And, to be honest, that freeze frame and that intro in general is just cool to watch. So, I'm actually really happy Jordan chose this out of the three ideas I sent him =)

Jordan was absolutely fantastic in taking feedback from me about eliminating and adding in small elements as I was watching him post up his teaser images of the art over time. And even though I didn't ask for a lot to be changed, or even bother him a lot in general, I always worry about ruining an artist's creative flow with my ideas popping up in the middle of their work. So, again maybe when thinking of the possible fun aspect, if I did say anything that ruined any possible enjoyment he was having with this piece, I do apologize =) But in the very end of all his work on this piece, he hit everything I wanted out of the park. Thanks Jordan!
