Description

Nice little pickup from eBay. Two-Gun Mojo was a series I did not have an example from until now. These Hex limited series with Lansdale stories and Truman art were my real introduction to the Hex world and what put Johan at my #2 spot. I started picking up all the older floppies after these.

This page is so characteristic of what you would find in these Lansdale stories. Jonah with a smartass comment followed by or sometimes proceeded by the accompanying action. Jonah shooting out both eyes is to be expected (an eye for an eye. In this case both...), but having the horse knock out a couple teeth (a tooth for a tooth...) from the presumed dead (or at least sightless) victim at this point, is what makes this page special.

It's all in the details.

Not sure what is up with the "title" at the top. JOHNEE HAX FUM TEX-ASS. I don't remember that phrase from anywhere. Been a while since I read that (or any Hex series) though.

Plus, bonus random doodles on the back of the page.

These mini-series were my intro to Jonah as well. Great art and Jonah had the best quips, even in the worst situation. A true gentleman.

The big time eye popping violence and the matching captions are what sets this Hex page apart from all others!
