DescriptionBack in the early 90s Paul Ryan taught a class at Assabet Valley for kids that wanted to draw comics. It was one of the coolest things, being able to learn from a guy who was drawing the Fantastic Four and Ravage right then. I only wish i took more advantage of it!!One of the things I remembered really well was the class he brought current art in; un-inked pencils that hadn't seen print yet. It was so neat to see pages from issues that were months away, including pages for Ravage #4 - around the time Ravage #1 was coming out!! This page was the one that most burned into my mind, that stellar first panel, that expansive wingspan...cool. This was probably one of the first handful of pieces of original art I ever saw. What was really cool about the piece though is that Paul still had it when I inquired years later! Something that had potential grail-like implications was instead an easy find. Whew!!
