Description

A comic dealer I know gives me crap because I talk about OA with my friend every Wednesday and he likes to occasional put in his two cents.

So one day I'm talking to this dealer about how cheap OA used to be "back in the day" and then he mentions that he has several pages of Legion art and that he might be willing to let one go. Tense negotiations ensue but in the end I landed this beauty at a decent price.

This page checks so many boxes for me:

- It's from the Baxter paper run, my favorite LOSH series.
- You have the three founding members on it, and they're saluting the flag!
- There's my favorite supporting character on it, Shvaughn Erin. And she's with Element Lad!
- Twice up size art, so even more detail on it.
- My first LOSH piece by Steve Lightle. (I've been trying to get a LOSH page by him for decades.)

Lightle Legion art is tough. They were bought up early on and like the Sprouse ones, they don't come up again. Maybe they think they won't get max value if it ever hit a public auction as Legion collectors collect in secrecy.

Wow congrats! Really nice page and agreed that Lightle Legion art almost never comes up for sale.
