The outlines, the anatomy, and the pose are the rudiments of the classi Spidey house style made famous by Romita.

It is indeed a great prelim, Jason, showing that Romita had already worked out the anatomy and pose by this stage. Having it signed by him is the cherry on top!

Fantastic Spider-Man sketch by the incomparable John Romita! I love seeing prelims like this because here you can really appreciate the skill that Romita brought to his work. Even in a simple sketch like this you can see Romita's sizeable knowledge of anatomy at work. It's certainly one of the reasons he was so successful at what he did. Great pick-up!
