Jaw-dropping page from Mike Mignola. Love this quiet scene as Hellboy meanders through a mysterious ancient ruin. The killer panel, of course, is that third panel where Hellboy stands at the top of what appears to be an endless stairway leading to...Hell? Now why anybody would descend a staircase leading to the Stygian Depths is beyond me. But Hellboy isn't me and he does just that. He goes to Hell. On purpose. Stunning page from one of the true comic art masters!
