DescriptionJust loved this the second I saw it. Playful, creative, fun. One of those that just brings a smile every single time. The 'Rockwellian' feel is aided by the circle surely, but it certainly gives me that same vibe as a really, really cool Saturday Evening Post 'fantasy' cover. Released as the 1:50 variant cover for Shazam 1, 2023 and gorgeously painted by Ariel Jesus Colon. The gold is gold leaf and shines in the light at various angles, truly mesmerizing and loved by all. I was going to hang it in the kid's room: at which point he told me, 'no... everyone should see it so hang it where people have to look at it'... 'nuff said. Various paint types-poster colors-pastel pencils-acrylics-watercolor-you name it lol-- so calling it mixed media since genius isn't an option.Social/Sharing |

Agreed. The round window design makes this a really fun and creative piece. And having just the snout and tail of the Rex is a great choice as well.

Meant to reply, but spaced it. Many of his recent works have utilized the round window design and it's a really strong visual device surely. Due to his name I always use the entire thing, some just use AC. His stuff should be on here where you can see this. His Action 1 cover with Lois Lane utilized this, a Stan Lee's re-imagined? cover as well, a few commissions, everything I've seen by him has been truly 'level up' material. From sneakers, to skateboards, to hats, to purses, to t-shirts, to bikes, to comic covers, to just everything...substrate is not relevant to this cat LOL. Skills.
