Description

Inspired by F M�s �Doodle Week�, I wanted to assemble a similar assortment of con sketch confectionery, delicious doodles, and candied commissions to celebrate the holiday season here on CAF�. Sort of a festive, goody-laden, OA Advent calendar�. The 2022 ART-VENT CALENDAR!

Day 3 (part 1): A gorgeous spread of the son of Death and Mao Xiaolian (complete, of course, with balloon tutor :) ). A fast, beautiful, Moebius-like Sharpie sketch on the front endpaper spread of the �East of West - The Apocalypse: Year One� hardcover at Rose City Comic Con 2017. Thank you, Nick!

Wow, you might possibly be the only person in this hobby who, when asked by the artist, "Which character would you like, the Crow?", answered "Babylon!" . 😁

Can you just imagine of my Dragotta
Ooh, I think Rose City Con, Nick's Image run
Top it with a doodle from my Dragotta
Get a Babylon, sketch it up
Such an art event, he always got the touch

Art-vent calendar. Heh, I like it! Bringing a little class to this joint, as you do. I'll bring the fruit cake! (And then promptly eat it, because I think I'm the only person on Earth who likes them). I love the whimsical nature of the image. I don't know the subject, but I really like the concept. The son of death been taught by balloon? I'm gonna go find that. Lol. Santa approved!

Ooh! If you like fruitcake, then I have a recipe to share with you, sir! If I'm allowed to, that is. It's one of those handed-down-from-grandma recipes that may have a security protocol attached to it. It also may very well be titled "Edible Fruitcake". It's really good, and the key is actually to soak the loaf in rum for about three months. Actually, that might be the whole recipe. But it is darn good! :) Not to stray too far off topic, but you should absolutely check out 'East of West' if you get a chance. Worthy of a double rum-soaked fruitcake thumbs up!
